During more than 12 years in the forestry industry, Amy Robinson has moved quickly through various operational roles. Starting out as Log Production Coordinator, Amy then progressed to Harvest Planning Manager, Forest Manager and Production Manager. She was previously Forest Improvement Manager at Ernslaw.
In her role as Head of Environmental Performance, Amy is responsible for delivering national environmental performance that meets industry standards, and regulatory and legislative compliance requirements through education, coaching and support to staff and contractors across all Ernslaw operations.
Responsibility extends to identifying technology platforms, tools, operating models and culture to deliver improved performance, accountability and engagement with environmental goals.
As well as representing Ernslaw on the FOA Environment Committee, Amy’s passion for the environment saw her forming, and is chair of, the Southern Environmental working group, which sits under the Southern Wood Council. The aim being to bring regional councils and industry together in collaborative relationships to share knowledge, educate and build networks.
Amy also sits on the University of Canterbury Forestry School Advisory Board.
Amy balances her love of food and creating in the kitchen with getting outdoors to tramp and cycle. She also sings acapella for the Foveaux Harmony Chorus which sees her attend various community events and competitions.
