Nurturing our people to succeed is at the core of our business ethos. We invest in the training and development of each and every one of our people to encourage them to grow and reach their goals.
Ernslaw has forests right across this region and we are looking to grow the talent in our team to help us achieve better outcomes for our business, industry and the planet! With climate change upon us, our industry is working through how we can transform our operational processes. We are actively involved in industry research, trialling new technologies and practices and we are working with stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. To help us on this journey, we are looking for a Harvesting Supervisor for our Titoki forest. Ideally, you will be located in Dannevirke but this forest is commutable from Palmerston North and surrounding areas.
The Forest Improvement Manager is a pivotal role responsible for guiding and supporting the teams who grow our asset, create value through improved establishment and silviculture programmes, seed & stock selection, R&D and GIS/technology initiatives and silviculture mechanisation. Expertise in optimising harvest scheduling and woodflow could also be included in this remit.
Ernslaw is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join our East Coast team. We have a big challenge in front of us with highly sensitive geology, important land use, environmental and social considerations and a committed focus on health and safety. With the big minds focused on what changes need to happen, and with innovation and creative solutions being at the forefront of how we operate, we are throwing down the gauntlet. If you are up for it, the rewards are many. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will provide strategic, operational, and technical leadership for the planning and construction of a road network through our forest estate. The East Coast business produces 500,000+ tonnes of fibre per annum and we need quality infrastructure to get that to the port, domestic mills and future bioenergy processing facilities.
