Ernslaw One Health and Safety Policy

Ernslaw One is committed to providing a safe environment for our employees, contractors and visitors to our workplace.  Our goal is to achieve ‘Zero Lost Time Injury Accidents” while maintaining “Excellent Performance and Productivity.’

To ensure a safe and healthy work environment, Ernslaw One will resource and maintain a Health and Safety management system to:

  • Meet or exceed our obligations under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992, the Health and Safety in Employment regulations 1995, Codes of Practices and all relevant Standards and Best Practice Guidelines.
  • Identify all existing and new hazards and unsafe conditions, and take all practicable steps to eliminate, isolate or minimise the exposure to workplace hazards.
  • Ensure all accidents, incidents and are accurately reported and investigated to enable identification of contributing factors and, where appropriate formulation of plans to implement corrective actions.
  • Provide a workplace free from the adverse effects of alcohol and drugs, where all employees will feel safe from the dangers that such substances may bring to the workplace.
  • Encourage employee consultation and participation in all matters relating to Health and Safety. Managers and Supervisors will ensure that our contractors and their employees rake full ownership of their Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Set objectives and performance criteria for all work areas, and undertake annual reviews, to drive continuous improvement.

Every Manager and Supervisor has a responsibility for the Health & Safety of those employees working under their direction.
